Timeline for Five Year Plan
Comments:
According to the timeline for the Five Year Plan, there was supposed to be Board review and approval of the draft plan by early September. Did that happen? I don't remember it.

That was to be followed by community input during September and October. Was that input supposed to be on the draft plan that the Board approved? Where is that Board-approved draft plan?

The draft plan is supposed to be revised in October and November. Was that revision completed? Where is the revised draft plan?

Sometime this month the Board is supposed to approve the Five Year Plan. The Board typically has items introduced at one meeting for a vote at the following meeting. The Board's last chance to vote on the draft plan in November will come at their meeting on November 17. Their last chance to introduce the revised Five Year Plan for a vote at that meeting was two days ago. It didn't happen.

Who is responsible for keeping this Five Year Plan on track and on time? It's Superintendent Manhas, isn't it? Has he announced that he's running behind or is he just hoping no one will notice?

Let's get a move on with this thing. Are we going to do it or aren't we? Enough talk - take some action!

The Five-Year Plan was discussed with the Board on November 4th.  The current schedule calls for introduction of the Plan on November 17 for adoption on December 1, 2004.  The proposed Plan will be on the web site as soon as it is edited to include Board input.
