Please find a way to make formal music training available at all grade levels.  I have two children that have come through the school system in the last 12 years.  Although there was an attempt to expose them to music, it was far below the opportunities and focus that I was exposed to when I was a child.  I was a product of the seattle school system during the 50's and 60's.  My formal music training began in 3rd grade and continued throughout my school years.  It helped me become a "team player", helped me with math skills, time management, and discipline.    There

There are very dedicated music teachers in the school system today that deserve all the support they can get.  Please strongly consider giving music the funding needed to be viable and available to all who want it as part of your five year plan.
