I support the two previous posts on this issue.  Arts education is indispensable for shaping our students into welly rounded, free thinking individuals.  The amount and quality of non-verbal communication skills learned in a chamber music ensemble or band/orchestra sectional rehearsal is absolutely astounding.  All of our students deserve an opportunity to have a quality experience with the arts at school.

 

Additionally, I feel that the block scheduling routine is an impedment to a quality arts education program at any school.  No block scheduling!!!
