Music for Every Child

As an elementary music specialist in the Wenatchee School District, I cannot imagine an environment WITHOUT music for every child. We ask them to read and write so much these days, but so many children are experientially deprived. MUSIC gives them something to experience...something to write about... something to stir their emotions and in most cases a group to which they can belong and identify. Here is a note I received from a fifth grader at the end of the school year: "Thankyou!!! You taught me courage to get up on a stage and sing and perform. I'll miss you and I won't forget you, Thankyou." MUSIC FOR EVERY CHILD: GIVE THEM AN EXPERIENCE THEY'LL NEVER FORGET!
